That is a ridiculous price to pay for water. $1 for only a quart. They are like $1 for a full gallon (4 quarts) at Aldi. I suppose many folks who patronize the dollar store are not proficient with arithmetic 🤣

If I may add something abstract. Get ready to be yelled at. Every time I but a 'prep' item, my mother is like "We don't need that. That won't happen. Don't waste your money." Don't try to explain. She won't listen. At work, I bought a lot of stuff for MYSELF, and had it shipped to school. Someone came into my room and said, "Where's that little vacuum?" I hadn't thought put my name on it yet, so I didn't tell her. She went to complain, and now I can't order anything without the principal's written permission. I ordered only TWO things for SCHOOL. A wagon to carry kids if we have to evacuate and the roads are to rough for buses, and FLASHLIGHTS for if we're stranded for an extended period of time. The rest of it was flavored water, fruit/vegetable juice, and strawberry milk with an extended shelf life. I also have a small rolling cart, a small dolly, and a small book truck. Most of the time, those things are not available, which is why I bought my own.

Where are you guys setting these things up? I live in the Midwest, and years ago, had a camping hammock. Gave up on it after rarely finding a campsite to set it up. Back then at least, most state parks wouldn’t let you set one up. Most camp sites, parks and private campgrounds, don’t have anywhere to hang them anyway as they’ve cut down anything that grows on a campsite so huge trailers and RV’s don’t get so much as scratched pulling in.

two more suggestions I to buy the all different size Ziploc bags when I give stuff out to the homeless and also keep stuff dry and you have Ziploc bags to use if you need to store more stuff the dollar tree also sells 2 1/2 quart so really big ones so you can take all your small ones and pack them in there. They also sell Paracord tarps and sometimes bungee cords.

I drink a lot of nonfat milk. I recycle all of my bottles, after I run the tapwater through a ‘Pur’ water filtration system, which works pretty well. Do not use bleach if you’re going to drink that water. You’re asking for trouble. I know.

I also purchased six boxes of large, strike anywhere kitchen matches. You know the brand. 300 large matches in each box. They were a little pricey, about $30. But I’ll have them forever after I coat them completely in wax.

I purchased 100 lighters, made in China, for just about $16 and change. You can’t beat that. Well under $.10 apiece.

Keep some bleach on hand the tablespoon of bleach in a cup of water will keep that wind wound from getting infected. I have been built bitten as a groomer for 25 years multiple times never got an infection because I always use that method.
